My Princess...Go Where I Send You

"Be strong and steady, always enthusiastic about the Lord's work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless." 1 Corinthians 15:58

You seek Me for your place in this world, and My answer to you is wherever you are standing. I love to hear you pray to be used by Me. Nothing pleases Me more than when your love flows warm and free. When you're willing, I am ready to strategically place you somewhere to be a blessing. Even the smallest effort can lift the burden of someone else when you are living by My power. You won't always understand why I send you to do things that no one will else will see, but you don't work for others--you work for Me. What you do now will be seen by all on the other side of eternity. So go where I send you today, knowing that I have prepared the way.

Love,

Your King who is the Way

Just P.U.S.H

A man was sleeping one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to Push against the rock with all his might...

So, this the man did, day after day. For many years he toiled from sunup to sundown, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, Pushing with all his might!

Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain. Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind: (He will do it every time)!

"You have been pushing against that rock for a long time and it hasn't moved." Thus, he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure.

These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man. Satan said, "Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough."

That's what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of Prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to The Lord.

"Lord," he said, "I have labored long and hard in Your Service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter.

What is wrong? Why am I failing?"

The Lord responded compassionately, "My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your job was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed.

But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back shiny and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard. Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have.

True, you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be Obedient and to push and to exercise your Faith and trust in My Wisdom. That, you have
done.

Now I, my friend, will move the rock."

At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He Wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him.

By all means, exercise the Faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God Who moves The Mountains.

When people don't do as you think they should.......just P.U.S.H.

When people just don't understand you....................just P.U.S.H.

Walking with God

Submitted by: Sandra Harris Frey

September is the month when the weather begins to cool from the summer’s oppressive heat, the leaves on the trees begin making subtle changes in color, and the long awaited college football season is just beginning.

However, it is also the month where six years ago such tragedy, grief, and despair was experienced on 9/11 that it rocked the faith of many. In the aftermath of 9/11, souls turned to God for answers, for him to heal their grieved souls and for the strength to cope with the agonizing fear of being attacked again. For those who lost loved ones, grief and despair is still not far away. One of my prayers during that time was for the hurt to lessen with time. We will never forget that day.

Turning to God during tragedy is pledge of faith. Walking with God each day gives us peace and strength and is a direct witness to others. His love shines in our whole being as we walk with him daily. May you always walk with God.

Chorus from the hymn In The Garden

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

We Can All Make a Difference!

Submitted by: Sandra Harris Frey

I have been a loyal fan of the Larry King Live show for many years. He has charisma, confidence, phenomenal interview/people skills, and he's cute and I’m a sucker for a man in suspenders! His guest on 9/5/2007 was former President Bill Clinton. It was a great interview and as always, it motivated me to be more charitable and caring.

President Clinton made the point that one by one, we can all make a difference in society. It may be that $20 you send to the humane society each month or the Sunday School class you teach each week or maybe the hour or two each fall that you spend cutting your elderly neighbor’s shrubs. His main point was to get involved and change the world that you see needs change.

Many are in need and it just takes one act of kindness to transform a hopeless heart into a hopeful heart. It is a humbling experience to be a helper of mankind. Do it! Make a change today!

Galatians 6:9:
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.

Attack...

At the Point of Spiritual Breakthrough

Satan will attack when a person comes to Christ, when they are a babe in their faith. I believe Scripture shows us that the devil will also attack when you are on the verge of a breakthrough, or at a time of important transition. This is the second battle we must fight.

In Matthew 3, we find Jesus at an absolutely critical time of transition in His life. We have not heard from Him since He was 12 years old. There has been about 30 quiet, unnoticed years where He presumably was working in His father’s carpentry shop.

That is when we read in Matthew 3:16-4:1,

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately
from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him,
and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and
alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven,
saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be
tempted by the devil.

Jesus is about to enter public ministry. The sick will be healed; the poor will have the gospel preached to them; miracles will be worked; the Father will be revealed. So from this point, the battle is on. And we are given a bird’s-eye view of the conflict that occurs between Christ and the devil.

But I want to submit something to you. If it seems that all hell has broken loose in your life, maybe, just maybe, it’s because you are on the verge of a breakthrough in your life.

Maybe it’s a time of very important transition where God wants to lift you into a place where there is going to be greater influence and greater impact through your life.

Our deepest fear...

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” by Marianne Williamson
